Aello 1400 - description
back to submenu

The Aello 1400 device is an in-line sensor system made for the characterization of liquid disperse systems. Our experience of over 10 years research work and construction of optical sensors are included in the development of this device group, which results in very compact in-situ probes with an excellent handling and user friendliness at reasonable investment costs.

The Aello 1400 probe covers two different measurement principles: the dynamic and the spectral extinction of light. The combination of booth methods allows advanced process monitoring and control in complex multiphase processes down to 60 nm. The evaluation of the extinction-signals gives indices of the mean particle size and the particle concentration.

The design of the Aello 1400 probes takes the question of an easy cleaning and the demand of user-friendly probes. Due to integrated digital signal processing a direct connection (adapter) to a PC by a standard RS-232 interface minimizes the hardware requirements of the Aello 1000 series. Different accessories, like auto diluter, flow cell adapter, special fittings for use in pressure pipes and fittings for sterile applications complete the Aello 1000 series.

  • particle size: spectral: ~ 90 nm .. 1.6 µm* dynamic: ~ 1 µm .. 100 µm*
  • concentration: ~ 10 ppm .. 15 wt.-%*

It will be measured the turbidity of blue, red and infrared light and mean size and concentration indices.

* The respective measurement ranges depending on the optical properties of the particle systems.
